The big players in data centers (Microsoft, Google, HP) are all working on their own version of these modular data centers, here is HPs take on it:

These systems seem like the will be a necessity going forward. As data centers eat up exponentially more power, I would love to see a data center made to sustain as much of it’s own power as possible.
